public relation class

Quick response/essay I make in public relation class

The way I read about the system theory using the humanist approach. Is that the humanist approach is about making the individuals happy in the workplace. Its aim is to make people happy, so they stay longer and/or work harder. With this theory the way the manager are is a huge contributing factor like the saying “people don’t quit jobs they quit managers“ it’s trying to make the company on the same page with how the project should get done, not making it a “you can only tell your manager something or they have to tell you exactly how to do the job”. You can have more open conversations with the group as a company to make sure everyone is on the same page, by making people feel like they have a voice in the production.

The downside is that not everyone can be made happy no matter what way you try. It is also not the only factor that makes people stay. Money can be the factor of people staying to work hard or leaving. It’s hard to prove this is the only way to approach the structure you are making. Since everyone is different no one system will work for everyone. It’s nice to have a few in place that work with what you’re going for. I see this as a good basis for the majority of people since it’s such a common phrase now that there has been a lot of talk about people leaving companies for the management or pay, then the job itself.
